HOW YOUNG PEOPLE CAN MAKE A CHANGE

How Young People Can Make A Change
Many of us do not like what we see around us but the last thing we ever do is to change it. I think that is the beginning of failure and that is why what we hate still remains around us. If you do not want the things you see around you, don't just watch and hope it will change. There must be a work plan that will determine what you are going to do to change it.
We have such an amazing power of creativity inside us to change the way things work around us. Only lazy people go about and say that is the way things have been working and that is the way
they are going to continually work.
I have come to discover that things around us are dependent on our actions and inactions. What I mean is that the circumstances that we like depend solely on the things we do and the things we do not do.
Do you want your country to change?
Start by changing the small things around you.
Before you think too far about any small thing to change, let me help you by saying that your habit should be the first thing to change. Change what you think about and change what you talk about.
Change the things that get your attention before you plan to change a nation.
Can you remember how difficult it was for you to break a habit that you desired to break some years back? Do you remember that habit of yours that you are still struggling to break? If so, then
you must accept that things are not just going to change by the stroke of a magic thought.
If it is not so easy to change yourself when you want to, it is not going to be so easy to change the people around you. Many people do not find it easy to change themselves yet they want to change a nation.
I think the best way I have changed people around me is that I changed myself.
People are watching you. Some of them do not expect you to change so your change is going to be like a miracle to them. When you change, they will change. Just change yourself and see how many people will tell you later that you were the one who changed them. That is one simple way young people can change their nations.
Go ahead now. Do it!

REMEMBER THE SMALL THINGS

Remember the Small Things
Some of my sisters work in Australia.
On a reservation, among the Aborigines, there was an elderly man. I can assure you that you have never seen a situation as difficult as that poor old man's. He was completely ignored by everyone. His home was disordered and dirty.
I told him, "Please, let me clean your house, wash your clothes, and make your bed."
He answered, "I'm okay like this. Let it be."
I said again, "You will be still better if you allow me to do it."
He finally agreed. So I was able to clean his house and wash his clothes. I discovered a beautiful lamp, covered with dust. Only God knows how many years had passed since he last lit it.
I said to him, "Don't you light your lamp? Don't you ever use it?"
He answered, "No. No one comes to see me. I have no need to light it. Who would I light it for?"
I asked, "Would you light it every night if the sisters came?"
He replied, "Of course." From that day on the sisters committed themselves to visiting him every
evening. We cleaned the lamp and the sisters would light it every evening.
Two years passed. I had completely forgotten that man. He sent this message: "Tell my friend that the light she lit in my life continues to shine still."
I thought it was a very small thing. We often neglect small things.

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TOO TO PURSUE YOUR DESTINY

It's Never Too Late to Pursue Your Destiny
As a professional speaker, I speak to tens of thousands of people of all ages from all walks of life. I constantly get feedback from those in their 50s, 60s, and 70s, advising me that it is too late for them to create their own destiny.
They believe they are too old, too broke, too out of shape, and too tired to do anything about their future. They stubbornly believe achieving prosperity is only for those still in their 20s and 30s. Many of these people do not believe it is possible to create their own destiny. Limited by their own personal
beliefs these people settle for less and never achieve prosperity.
The question I always ask my audience is the same question I pose to you: Are you creating your own destiny, or are you creating someone else's destiny?
What do I mean by this? Consider the story of Cliff Young, a humble potato farmer in Australia, who consciously decided at age 57 to create his own destiny. Up to this point his destiny was running the family farm and settling for a life of hard work; however, Cliff was quietly harboring a passion for long- distance running.
He came to the decision to live his own life and create his own destiny. Soon he was seen in the wet Australian countryside training in a rain coat and gum boots. It did not matter to him that he was 57 years old, ill equipped and drastically out of running shape. What mattered most to him after all these
years on the farm was pursuing his passions and creating his own destiny.
He ignored those who mocked him and the drivers who tried to run him off the backcountry roads. He continued to train and built up to running 20 to 30 miles per day, day in and day out.
In May 1983, after four years of constant training, Cliff Young shocked the world.
At 61 he won the first Sydney-to- Melbourne ultra-marathon - a distance of 875 kilometers (nearly 545 miles). To run this distance at any age is quite a feat, but to run it at 61 and beat some of the world's best-conditioned athletes in their 20's and 30's, is absolutely incredible!
For years, running experts believed that the body needed a certain amount of sleep per night when running a grueling 100 miles per day. However, after falling so far behind on the first day of the race,
Cliff awoke at 1:00 AM and started running throughout the night. He surpassed the leaders, who slept to the usual 5:00 AM. Cliff's strategy worked so well that he continued to wake and start running each morning four hours earlier than all of his competitors. As a result of using this bold racing strategy, he astonished the world by crossing the finish line in first place. After five days, 15 hours, and four minutes Cliff Young was the victor, at 61 years old!
The news of Cliff Young's shocking victory quickly traveled throughout Australia. At his age, with his lack of experience, and facing the country's best long-distance runners no one thought he had a chance. He became a living legend, and the nation fell in love with this 61-year-old potato farmer who saw the invisible, and achieved the impossible. When talking about the prize money, Cliff was quoted as saying "$10,000, wow that is a helluva lot of potatoes!" He then proceeded to share
his prize money with the other competitors acknowledging their preparation and hard work.
In 1984 and again in 1987 at 62 and 65 he competed in the cross country race, continuing to use his 1:00 A.M. start time routine. Now this strategy of waking at 1:00 AM, instead of 5:00 AM is
a widely accepted practice in this event.
Cliff Young broke a paradigm, overcame self-doubt, and accomplished what no one in the world thought remotely possible. Of greater significance is how he created his own destiny. He created
a legacy of innovation and inspiration simply by following his passions, and was not limited by the beliefs held by so many others in their 50s, 60s, and 70s.
Despite his age at 61, Cliff Young become prosperous as he created his own destiny. Regardless of your age and physical condition you too can take charge of your life and pursue prosperity.
You do have the power to achieve prosperity at any age. You alone must be willing to take charge of your future by following your heart, pursuing your passions, and creating your own destiny.
No matter your age and in spite of your current challenges, be more like Cliff Young and take control of your future.
Embrace the belief that it is never too late to create your own destiny and achieve prosperity. I challenge you at any age to dream, plan, execute, and soar to a life full of prosperity!

NEVER LOSE HOPE!

Never Lose Hope!
Into each life a rain must fall
There's joy and pain you can recall
Life's full of challenge; big and small
But you can overcome them all.
Put everything in perspective
See things clearly, be positive
Life's wonderful, plenty to give
More goals and dreams you can achieve.
Leave the past, to the future move on
No regrets, just wisdom and vision
Everything happens for a reason
It's your new dawn, change your direction.
Look at life on a brighter scope
No burden's too great, you can't cope
In time; wounds will heal, do not mope
You'll rise and shine, never lose hope!

HELPING OTHERS

Keep Helping Others; The World Needs Us

Allan Paul, a final year Engineering Student, was considered a safe driver by all who knew him. One sunny morning,
Allan was on his way home from his friend's house on his favourite bike. All of a sudden, due to a major mistake by a truck driver near a traffic signal, Allan's bike collided with the huge truck.
Poor Allan lost his legs and was laying in the middle of the road, trembling.
He cried out for help but no one bothered to pick him up. They were afraid of the consequences they could face if they gave Allan a helping hand.
There was a huge crowd gathering, watching Allan like he was an alien.
Allan kept crying and shouting aloud and finally he crawled to the sidewalk all by himself. Then he saw a man getting out of a car. Allan pleaded with him and cried out, "Please help me. I want to
live. Save me, I am dying".
The man ran over and helped. He picked up Allan and took him to the hospital.
Allan gave him his contact number and the man then called Allan's house to inform his parents about the accident and their son's situation. Allan's parents rushed to the hospital; the doctors told them there was no hope and asked them to take Allan home since it was impossible for him to survive.
Allan asked his parents to only call one person when he died, the man who had helped him. He also requested that they not inform or allow anybody else to see his dead body. Allan passed away the
same night. As was Allan's last wish, his father called only that MAN and informed him about Allan's death.
